Desmond a resident to Fayetteville; is no stranger to the region; he attended and graduated from Fayetteville Academy in 2016. Desmond then moved to Wilmington, NC, to attend the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Desmond graduated in 2020 from the School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in business administration focusing on finance; he then proceeded to obtain a degree of master of science in finance from the Cameron school graduating again fall of 2021. Since moving back to Fayetteville, Desmond’s passion has been promoting financial literacy. He has hosted student capstone projects from Fayetteville State University and Campbell University. He is an active member of the Douglas Byrd Academy of Finance Board and holds frequent workshops at both Methodist and Fayetteville Technical Community College to educate retirees on taxes, social security, and estate planning.
